Tell them:

Executive Board pay is excessive and unjustifiable in a university sector where everyone else is being told to “tighten belts”.
You support the staff who actually teach you, support you, and deliver the research that builds the University’s reputation - not the managers presiding over its decline.
You oppose academic and student-facing job cuts while senior administrative posts continue to be advertised during hiring freezes for the rest of us.
You don’t want to study at a university that abandons core scientific subjects - Chemistry, Geography, Geology, Environmental Sciences, Modern Languages - especially while proclaiming that Environmental Sustainability is one of its “four strategic guiding principles”.

Quote them back their own words:

“Environmental sustainability is one of the University’s four strategic guiding principles… Our approach is holistic.”

Ask how cutting core STEM departments essential to sustainability aligns with this.

Tell the VC you are deeply concerned about Leicester’s Rankings

The very subjects under threat are outperforming the University as a whole:

Chemistry – 2nd in the UK
Geology – 11th in the UK
Geography – 18th in the UK
Modern Languages – 14th in the UK
Film – 22nd in the UK

Explain that cutting high-performing departments will only accelerate Leicester’s decline.
